Sadqah
Sadaqah or Sadqah in the Morden context has come to signify “Voluntary Charity”. According to the Quran, the word means voluntary offering, whose amount is at the will of the “benefactor”. It is a term which is used to determine a voluntary act of charity which has a wide use case. This could be any amount with no minimum or maximum value. We also have the facility to do Sadqah of animals for the sake of Allah (SWT) for general purposes, or we can even arrange for Aqiqah, Fidya and Kaffarah

Sadaqah is derived from the Arabic word “Sidq” – which means Sincerity, or Truth. It is commonly referred to and known as voluntary charity. Sadaqah is an act of worship by giving donations without the action being made obligatory.
Sadaqah benefits the believer not just in this life but the hereafter.
Allah SWT says in the Quran:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.” (Quran 2:261)
Sadaqah for the sake of Allah helps Muslims in many ways:

“When a person passes away, their good deeds will also come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for them” – Muhammad (P.B.U.H)
Sadaqa averts calamity and increases sustenance and blessings in one’s life. Allah says in the Qur’an, “Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned” (Qur’an, 2: 245).
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said “Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire” (Hadith, Tirmidhi). He also said that Allah offers relief on the Day of Judgement for those who give sadaqah: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity” (Hadith, Tirmidhi).
Sadaqah does not have a fixed amount it can be as little as $1, while zakat has a fixed percentage of 2.5% of one’s wealth.
Sadaqah is a voluntary act of charity, Zakat is a mandatory Pillar of Islam.
A Muslim can donate Sadaqah as many times as he/she desires, while Zakat is an obligatory act of charity that must be paid once every lunar year as a form of purification of your assets.
Sadaqah Jariyah is a form of ongoing charity which you are continuously rewarded for because people in need benefit from your charitable act until the day of judgment.
